    Private Lessons

We are offering online sessions to anyone who doesn’t feel ready to get back to face to face teaching.

If you do feel ready to get back to in person lessons, that’s great, we will do everything to ensure your safety. If you choose to come to us, before your arrival everything will be fully sanitised and we will keep windows open for the duration of the lesson, so bring a jacket! All teachers will be wearing a face shield, hand sanitiser will be provided upon arrival and we will be positioned at least three metres apart in accordance with the government guidelines for singing and performance. If we arrange a lesson in your home we ask that the lesson take place in a room big enough for us to be at least 3 metres apart and that windows in the room can be left open for the duration of the lesson. We will provide hand sanitiser and wipes to wipe down any touch points before and after the lesson. We ensure all teachers are fully trained in infection prevention and control with the virtual college and have COVID-19 risk assessments in place for all lessons.

We kindly ask that if you or any of your household are displaying symptoms or have tested positive that you contact me to cancel or postpone your lesson. All cancelations due to COVID isolation will be fully refunded even if it is less than 24 hours before the lesson.

  • Do you offer a trial class?

Yes! Each child will recieve one trial lesson. These are charged at £5 for the Juniors/Seniors and £3 for the Minis.

Once the trial class has been attended you will recieve an email where you will be able to sign up for the remainder of the term.

If you wish to book a trial for a Juniors/ Seniors class please click here

If you wish to book a trial for a Minis class please click here

  • Can parents watch the trial?

There is a showing week at the end of every term where the children can show what they have been working on and you can see the progress your child has made.

For the trial class we encourage children to come in on their own as this will help them feel more independent and find their feet in the class. However, we understand sometimes children need that extra support in order to take part for the first time. We will take this on a case-by-case basis.

  • What should my child wear to class?

Something comfortable that they can move in! We will be dancing and moving around a lot so we recommend a T-shirt and leggings or joggers. We have T-shirts available to purchase however uniform is not compulsory. We ask that everyone wear trainers or dance shoes to class, no flip-flops or sandals.

  • Can I join classes part way through the term?

Yes, you can enrol at any point during the term however, we usually stop enrolments for the last three weeks of term as this is when we focus largely on our end of term showing. Exceptions may be made please contact us for more details.

  • How much do you charge?

For Minis, regular class fees work out at £7 per child per class.

For a TWO HOUR Junior or Senior class, regular class fees work out at £20 per child per class.

For a ONE HOUR Junior or Senior class, regular class fees work out at £10 per child per class

Termly fees may change on a term-to-term basis as the number of weeks in the term fluctuates between 11-13.

Payment plans are available if you are not able to pay the whole amount in one go.

We offer a 25% sibling discount on regular class fees for each additional child enrolled, sibling discounts do not apply to cousins.

  • What if I miss a class?

Payment is made on a termly basis for group classes so, unfortunately, no refunds can be offered for missed classes. Your child's place in the class is held until we receive a half terms notice that you do not wish to continue.

  • What if I miss a private lesson?

If you need to cancel your lesson you must give at least 24 hours notice to be fully refunded. If you would like to reschedule your lesson you must give at least 2 hours notice and we will reschedule your lesson at the earliest convenience. On the rare occasion your teacher needs to reschedule your lesson we strive to give at least 24 hours notice, at which point we will rearrange your lesson to the next available convenience. If, for whatever reason, 24 hours notice is not possible you will be given the choice between a full refund and rescheduling your lesson.

  • Are all teachers qualified?

Yes! All teachers are experienced teachers and industry trained professionals. All teachers have an Enhanced DBS check and there is always one teacher present who is first aid trained.

  • What if I can't make the showing week?

Obviously, showing week is an exciting part of the term and we encourage every child who comes to popcorn to be able to take part but if you can't for whatever reason, that shoudn't stop you coming for the whole term! Your child will still get a chance to have solos, both speech and singing, during rehearsals however they will be partnered with another child who will take the lead on the showing day. Some children who can't make the showing have also been known to become assistant director or choreogrpher for the last few weeks of term!
