Terms and conditions

   

Please ensure that you adhere to the following terms and conditions as a member of the site and as a client of Popcorn Musical Theatre Workshops at all times. This is for the benefit of everyone and to ensure that everyone has a comfortable, safe and equal experience. Anyone found to be in breach of these terms & conditions risks having their lesson terminated and may be refused further lessons.

 

  1. The Safety of our staff and students in paramount. If you attend a face to face session with symptoms of COVID-19 we retain the right to refuse entry to said lesson, no refund will be issued in this instance. 
  2. In the event of any Covid-19 related lockdowns, forcing us to stop classes, we reserve the right to go online with classes or offer refunds for any missed classes. A decision will be made about this if the need arrises.
  3. We have undergone risk assessments for the following categories; COVID-19, Health and safety and fire safety. We also have a full safeguarding policy. If you wish to see copies of any of these documents please contact us and we would be happy to share with you. 
  4.  As a client of Popcorn Musical Theatre Workshops it is your responsibility to behave in an acceptable and professional manner during your lessons. Any form of unacceptable behaviour such as explicit, discriminatory or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated and will result in immediate termination of your lessons. We reserve the right to terminate any and all lessons if we feel your behaviour is unacceptable. Refunds will be given for any unspent lessons, spent lessons will not be refundable. 
  5. It is important to us that you are satisfied with the quality of your lessons. If, at any time, you feel that there is a breach of professional conduct or you feel unsafe or uncomfortable, please bring it to our attention by contacting emma@popcorntheatre.co.uk
  6. You must always inform everyone involved in the lesson if you wish to record parts of your lesson. Any recordings made without the full knowledge and consent of your teacher and other students in the lesson will result in the termination of all future lessons. 
  7. Payments are made on a termly basis. Upon booking and payment being completed you will receive an email from me detailing your chosen service and confirmation of payment details. We accept PayPal or Direct Debit payments. 


Parties


  • Your booking is not confirmed with us until booking form and booking fee/deposit have been received.
  • Your booking fee is a non-refundable deposit. Should you cancel your party or function with us, this booking fee will not be returned.
  • Your booking fee amount will be £30 for children’s birthday parties or £50 for larger events
  • If you need to swap your party or function date with us, with a minimum of 2 weeks notice, your booking fee can be transferred to the new date, but cannot be refunded. (Please note: your booking fee can only be transferred to a new date once at no extra cost)
  • Once your invoice is issued, payment is due at least 7 days prior to your event.
  • At your child’s birthday party or at your function/event, you are responsible for your guests and/or any children at the party. Knowing their whereabouts, ensuring health and safety for your guests, any injuries/accidents etc… is not part of the entertainer’s role.
  • In the extremely unlikely case that we, have to cancel a party, due to hazardous & extreme weather conditions or sickness, you will be given a full refund, including your booking fee.
  • Occasionally our staff will take some action shots, pictures and/or videos at parties and these may be used on our website/social media for promotional purposes. By filling in the booking form, you give us permission to do so. Please let us know if you do not wish for any photos to be taken at your event.
  • We aren’t able to guarantee a specific member of staff will be at your event, due to other bookings and potential sickness, but will always guarantee the staff present will be of a high standard, experienced and trained by Popcorn Theatre.

 

Cancellation Policy

   

  1. Refunds cannot be given for group classes, as receipt of payment reserves your child’s place in the class. If you do not wish to continue with lessons at Popcorn Musical Theatre Workshops, please give us written notice with at least a half terms notice. 
  2. If you need to cancel your PRIVATE lesson you must give at least 24 hours notice to be fully refunded. If you would like to reschedule your lesson you must give at least 2 hours notice and we will reschedule your lesson at the earliest convenience. 
  3. On the rare occasion your teacher needs to reschedule your lesson we strive to give at least 24 hours notice, at which point we will rearrange your lesson to the next available convenience. If, for whatever reason, 24 hours notice is not possible you will be given the choice between a full refund and rescheduling your lesson. 


 Customer Complaints Policy


At Popcorn Musical Theatre Workshops we strive to give the highest standard of educational Performing Arts training combined with professional customer service at all times. We understand that things don’t always go to plan and that sometimes we may not live up to your expectations. If this happens we want you to let us know and to give us the opportunity to put things right as quickly as possible.


If however, you feel we haven’t resolved the issue, we have a clear and simple procedure in place to make sure we handle your complaint fairly, sensitively and in a professional manner.


Complaints Procedure

We aim to resolve your concerns as quickly as possible and most issues can be resolved at the initial point of contact with us. If you remain dissatisfied, you may wish to make a formal written complaint. You can complain in writing, either by letter or email and send it to:

It would help us to deal with your complaint more effectively if you could provide the following information:


● Exactly what the problem is and how it occurred

● How it has affected you
● What you consider should be done to put it right


We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 2 working days of receipt.
We will then fully investigate and provide you with a full response which outlines the findings of any investigation and, wherever possible, resolve the matter to your satisfaction. We will also keep each stage of the complaints procedure independent and as impartial as possible.

Popcorn Musical Theatre Workshops is committed to protecting your privacy online and we appreciate that you want the personal information you provide to us to be kept private. Here we explain how we collect information through the web site, what we do with it and what controls you have. 


What data do we collect?
So that we can provide you with services and respond to your email/enquiry form requests, we ask you to submit information such as your name and contact details. You are under no obligation to provide such information. However, if you should choose to withhold requested information, we may not be able to contact you.


How is the information used?
We will use the information you provide to us to arrange services requested by you and respond to any enquiry. If you have e-mailed us we will use your e-mail address to respond to your query. Once we have provided your services or responded to your enquiry your details may be kept on our system to ensure that we can contact you if the need arises in the future.  Under no circumstances will we share your information with any other third parties whatsoever unless you have asked us to or we have otherwise agreed this with you first.

We may disclose personal information if required to do so by law or if we believe that such action is necessary to protect and defend the rights, property or personal safety of Popcorn Musical Theatre Workshops’ website or its visitors.

Popcorn Musical Theatre Workshops is committed to ensuring children in our care are protected from maltreatment, harm and radicalisation. We believe everyone has a responsibility to promote the welfare of all children and young people, to keep them safe and to practice in a way that protects them. We will make sure that all children and young people have the same protection regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
